Truth Moves.
Let’s talk

The method

Find it.
Say it.
Move it.

Four steps, one order, and something real inside.

The four steps

01

We talk

Twenty minutes. Video, phone, a walk, a coffee shop. No fee, no deck, nothing to prepare.

I’ll go first. I’ll tell you where I’ve been stuck, and most people’s guard comes down somewhere in there.

02

We find what it actually is

Is it you, the team, the process, or a combination nobody has separated out yet.

Impartial, and from the outside, which is the only way anyone sees it clearly.

03

A plan, agreed first

A plan built round what we discussed. Steps, outcome, duration, cost. Sent over, tweaked, signed off.

I don’t spring proposals on people.

04

Then we move

Logged, tracked, shared. No secrets. No surprises. Real movement.

The work ends on a difference, not on a document.

What happens next

There isn’t a programme. There’s a question of how far in I come.

Which one you need comes out of the twenty minutes. I’ll tell you which I think it is, and I’ll tell you if it’s none of them.

01

Just you.

The thing you can’t say in your own meetings, the decision you keep circling, the bit where you’re not sure whether the problem is the business or you. Nobody else in the room. You leave with it named, and the first move made.

02

You and the people who run it with you.

I get inside the problem, work out what’s actually happening, and we solve it with your leadership team. Then they run it, with their own people. I’m there for the decisions and out of the way for the delivery.

03

You, then everyone.

You first, until you can say it. Then your leadership. Then every person who matters, one at a time, until I know what’s really going on. Then we rebuild how the place runs around the decision nobody had made. I’m in it with you, not advising from the side.

And afterwards, or instead of any of them, some people keep me on call. A set number of hours a month, and a line open to their leadership team in between. Not check-ins that fill up with news. Somewhere to put the thing before it becomes the next problem.

The one thing I keep from you

You get what I’m finding.
Not who said it.

If I work with your team, everything I find is shared with you. Who said it stays entirely anonymous. They need the same safety you do, and if they don’t have it none of this works.

The awkward bits

Money, and the questions people feel rude asking.

Ask them anyway. I’d rather you knew now than wondered for a fortnight.

It’s never a day rate. You’ll get one number, built round your situation.
Three, and they are not the same three as the depths above. The depths are how far into the business I come. The options are three ways to price whichever depth we land on, because budgets differ.
There are three depths, and we decide together which one fits. Just you. You and the people who run it with you. Or you, then everyone. The difference is how far into the business I come and who does the moving, not how big you are.
Say it out loud. We redefine it together, and nothing moves until we’ve both agreed.
Something real starts to happen instantly, but the full length of our time together is based on the challenge you bring and the plan we agree.
Only alongside you, never as a separate stream. Teams don’t tell the truth to a consultant who turns up on their own.
Yes, and some people do that instead of any of the three depths rather than after one. It is a set amount of my time each month and a line open to your leadership team in between, so there is somewhere to put the thing before it becomes the next problem.

And if I’m not the right person, I’ll tell you on the first call.

Still weighing up who to hire?

Coach, consultant or mentor?

Be honest with yourself

This is not for everyone.

Business or team · any industry · any size. Other than that, it’s about how you want to work.

  • If you want a document to put in a drawer, we will both be disappointed.
  • If you want someone to blame for a decision you have already made, I am the wrong hire.
  • If you want to be agreed with, I will be annoying within a fortnight.
  • If nobody in the business is allowed to say “this isn’t working”, start there first.
